You need to eat



I absolutely adore jerk spices! They're spicy and full of flavour. This recipe is so easy to make and fool proof. Be sure to cook the wings crispy so they stand up to this goopy sauce.

Here's what you'll need

  • 1 tbsp ground allspice
  • 1 tbps ground black peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp ground paprika
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 6 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (ground or fresh minced)
  • 2 jalapenos (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  1. sautee the onions, garlic and peppers until soft and translucent

  2. add the rest of the ingredients and cook until thickened and reduced (about 15 minutes)

  3. meanwhile, toss the wings, in batches into a preheated deep fryer until cooked all the way through (about 6 - 8 munutes)

  4. toss the wings in the sauce and serve up with lots of napkins

  5. when the wings are ready, toss them in the sauce to coat them...done!
