You need to eat

Pumpkin seeds are the easiest and tastiest things to make. Pop them into your mouth the second they come out of the oven and you will never buy the shop bought stuff ever again, and they seem to keep their crispy crunch. Light and salty are the only adjectives that accurately describes these tasty little morsels. So, next time you carve up a pumkin, don't throw away the seeds!

Here's what you'll need

  • 1 pumpkin
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  1. cut the pumpkin into chunks, if you're planning in eating it anyway, or carve it into a scary face and toss in a candle if you're not

  2. scoop out the innards

  4. seperate the seeds from the 'guts', this may be a bit tricky because they can be pretty slippery, but even if a bit of the goo sticks to the seeds, as long as it's not too much, is fine because it'll caramelize and add flavour...try squishing them between your fingers

  5. toss onto a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper and stir to coat

  6. bake in a preheated 350° oven for 10 minutes or until crisp and golden

  7. that's it...enjoy
