Although lamb may not be for everyone, those who love it, really love it. I count myself in that group. It has a really nice gamey flavour that is complimented easily and can handle subtle all the way to big and bold flavours.
I dedicate this page to lamb and all those who love it. These are just a small handful of my favourites, with many more to come. Just click on the photo for the recipes!
ZA'ATAR CRUSTED LAMB BURGER WITH ROASTED TOMATO & CUCUMBER TZATZIKI
If you haven't discovered za'atar, this is the time! It's a combiniation of fragrant thyme, citrus flavoured sumac and earthiness of sesame seeds and is an amazing combination! Give it a go!

LAMB CURRY PIZZA WITH CASHEWS AND MANGO SALSA
I recently made a lamb roast and had tons left over so I decided to make this and gave it a whole new life. Even if you're against fruit pizza (I am), this will not conflict with your beliefs. The salsa adds a nice acidity and sweetness that balance the curry and cashews and further balanced by cooling yogurt drizzled on at the very end.
INDIAN SPICED ROASTED LEG OF LAMB
Lamb is so versatile and as most ethnicities eat it, there are virtually limitless ways and flavourings that work well with it. This time I decided to do Indian and it worked so well and everyone loved it. I knew it would be amazing just based on the wonderful smell from the marinade every time I opened the fridge. Serve it up with some rice, flatbread and a nice yogurt dip...and a nice cold beer!
GREEK LAMB PLATTER
I adore roasted lamb! Lemon and anchovies make really savoury and lemon potatoes, grilled zucchini and cheese stuffed cherry tomatoes completes this "platter". Give this a try!
GREEK ROASTED LEG OF LAMB
Whatever you think of anchovies, you need to try this roast! Anchovies add a lovely briny flavour, not "fishy" at all and are absolutely required, so please don't be afraid and leave them out, trust me, they really are amazing! This lamb, cooked until still pink is succulent and tasty and will have everyone asking for seconds.
HOMEMADE DONAIR PIZZA WITH SWEET SAUCE
We had this on a cross Canada road trip we just happened to roll into the annual George Street festival! After some debauchery, we found ourselves standing in line for some post-drinking food. On the east coast, donair meat is everywhere and they use it in everything! Homemade donair meat is not hard to make at all, and if you've never had sweet sauce, make this now!! You'll love it and it is insanely easy!
JERK LAMB ROAST WITH FRIED PLANTAINS AND PICKLED ONIONS
Leg of lamb is tasty and easy to make. I sometimes struggle with what to flavour it with. There's the traditional, but I really wanted to make something special...JERK! I had to make plantains, simply because I'd never cooked them before and then pickled onions just seemed to go naturally as it would cut through the bold flavours and add a nice acidity.
LAMB RIBS, HOMEMADE BBQ SAUCE WITH TANGY ROASTED POTATOES
Directly next door to us is an East Indian food shop and they sell lamb ribs. I was immediately curious and needed to try them. While I found them really delicious, they were quite sparce on the meat.
LAMB STUFFED POTATO CROQUETTE
Got leftover mash and roasted lamb for last night's dinner? This is a really great idea to use them up and impress the whole clan you're feeding and they're really easy to make. You can even make them early in the day or the day before and toss them in the fridge. Then all you need to do is fry them up and keep warm in the oven until you're ready to serve. Whip up a quick tzatziki to dip.
LAMB AGNOLOTTI IN PARMESAN CREAM SAUCE WITH ROASTED BEETS AND CHIMICHURRI
I recently made lamb ribs and had leftovers, so I decided make this dish. I really worked! When you make this, don't leave anything out. The contrasting flavours of the beets, cream sauce, chimichurri and lamb filling is absolutely fabulous. Everyone will enjoy it...guaranteed!
