BEER BRAISED PULLED PORK

BEER BRAISED PULLED PORK

Pulled pork is all the rage these days and it is usually said that when fast food chains embrace an ingredient, it is over for it. Not in this case! Pulled pork is absolutely delicious and addictive. It is so versatile...throw it on a bun with fresh coleslaw, on a pizza with some peppers, in a taco, in an omelette...I could go on, but you get the idea.

Here's what you'll need

BEER BRAISED PULLED PORK

  • 16oz dark ale (tall boy can)
  • 1 tbsp whole cumin
  • 1 tbsp whole mustard

  4. season and rub the pork butt or shoulder, rub with spices and toss into a roasting dish with a lid

  5. pour in the beer

  6. add onions, garlic jalapenos, celery and limes (cut in half)

  7. cover and bake for at least 3 ~ 4 hours, or until the meat falls apart

  8. pull or shred the pork using two forks

  9. I like to keep the pork in it's cooking liquid until you serve it to keep it succulent and juicy

** Remember to keep the cooking liquid to make a killer stew or chilli **
