I made these completely by accident, when I was making scalloped potatoes one night. I'd sliced way too many potatoes, so I just stuck the leftover slices in some cold water and proceeded with dinner. The next morning, when I opened the fridge to get my hangover chug of cold milk, I discovered the most wonderful thing and I immediately knew what I had to do. The soaking slices of potatoes had transformed into chip-like bowls. They had curled up and were ready to stuff and bake. You can use whatever you have on hand and make any number of combinations you want.
