Working in a call centre, and never sitting next to same person day in and day out means that you get to meet and talk to so many new people. One weekend, I found myself next to this really friendly young guy from Palestine and we quickly got to chatting between calls. The conversation eventually turned to food (as it usually does with me) and we were soon comparing foods from our home countries.
He mentioned this sauce that is eaten in the morning or the evening and is usually accompanying dishes in a mezze, but is most commonly used to dunk bread into. I asked him if he minded if I made it and shared with all of you and he quickly said "YES!! I want everyone to know how good this sauce is!!" So, being curious, I had to give it a go and it was amazing! So simple, with only two ingredients...the best things in life usually are. This sauce has my imagination going, so be on the lookout for recipes with it.
