You need to eat



Curry is a comfort food for me and one of the most fragrant and satisfying meals you can make. This is just a basic curry spice recipe which will give you a good jumping off point. You can feel free to adjust, add or substitute anything you like. Add heat, sweet or whatever else you can think of.

Here's what you'll need

  • 2 tbsp whole cumin
  • 2 tbsp whole coriander
  • 2 tbsp whole mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp whole fenugreek
  • 2 tbsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. toast the whole spices in a dry pan on high heat until just starting to smoke

  2. bash around in a pestle and mortar or use a coffee grinder if you have one

  3. ready to go!
